Purple Hibiscus makes frequent, even excessive, reference to the human body. Write an essay in which you explore the significance of selected examples of body writing and consider the ways in which they contribute to the novels engagement with colonial and postcolonial Nigeria.
Your discussion should include close reading/critical analysis of selected passages from the novel and should be centred around two or three main characters.
