Write a well-supported, articulate argument in which you explain how Ivan Ilyich experiences internal conflict. Your argument should identify a) the specific conflict that your character/speaker experiences and b) the way that your character/speaker attempts to cope with this conflict. You might consider the following questions in your brainstorming process: Does your character communicate hope that the conflict can be resolved? Does your character strive to solve his/her internal conflict? Does the characters internal conflict impact his/her interactions with others in positive or negative ways?
