How To Create An Ad Mockup Using Facebook Creative Hub
Step 1: Using Facebook Creative Hub, create a mockup of a Facebook ad to educate people about the issue of climate change. Its up to you whether your ad spports or denies evidence of climate change and it does not have to reflect your personal view.
Here’s a link to How to Create a Mockup in Facebook Creative Hub: Link (Links to an external site.)
You may need to set up a temporary Facebook account if you don’t already have one. Remember, even if you don’t personally use Facebook, many people in your target audience do, and you can reach them through Facebook or Instagram paid advertising. Facebook owns Instagram and you can use the same ads you create on either platform.
Once you’ve created your ad mockup, download your mockup as a png file and upload that file to the assignment on Canvas.
Your ad must include:
An image that debunks a myth you have found about climate change. You might want to use Adobe Photoshop to adjust your image, then save it as png or jpg file for upload to Facebook Creative Hub.
Cite (in the copy or in a footnote) the source of your fact that debunks the myth.
A headline that works with the image to communicate the intended message.
Some body copy (words) that states a fact to support your point of view about climate change and why it matters, or should matter, to your intended audience. A call to action button (what would you like people to do as a result of seeing your ad i.e. donate to an organization, learn more, volunteer, sign an online petition, like?
Choose Download Mockup to save the ad as a .PNG file and upload to the assignment.
In the comments section, include an explanation of why you chose the image and words you used, and why people should believe you.
