For this Discussion Board, students will conduct their own sampling experiment. Students are asked to observe the entrance of a mall or other shopping location for 30 minutes. During these observations, students are asked to log the gender, race and approximate age of each individual and any other pertinent information you can QUANTIFY for those individuals entering the store. Using this information:
- Report back your results for each category.
- Identify possible sampling errors based on factors presented in the chapter as well as any others you can identify (i.e. type of store).
- Knowing what you know about sampling, what can you do to better obtain a representative sample?
