Definition of Analytical Expository Essay: Generally, when analyzing literature, you choose one aspect of writing that an author uses to convey his ideas or themes. In your analysis, you show your reader how the author uses that one aspect of his writing to make meaning.
Prompt: revise your essay draft into a polished essay of 3-5 pages in which you analyze one aspect of one of the short stories you have read from the course syllabus and show how the author uses it to convey his theme(s).
