Imagine you are the head coach of a team with students from many different cultures and ethnic identities. Some of your team members have had domestic violence issues in the past and some have faced allegations of date rape. Your task is to develop an intervention in the form of a prevention plan that attempts to change fundamental attitudes among members of your team. You know if you cannot get some of your star players to changes their attitudes, then trouble is right around the corner. As the coach, you are expected to be accountable for the actions of individuals on your team. This is more than an academic exercise; your job is in jeopardy.
Research the scholarly literature regarding successful programs developed for student athletes that deal with this important subject.
Write your own prevention plan program.
