Find a cause you are passionate about to do with sociology. I would recommend finding a problem within your community.
Research the problem as you would normally do for a research paper (What is the problem? Why do we have this problem? Is the problem becoming worse? What are some possible solutions to the problem? Etc.).
You will complete a short (approximately 4 5 page, double-spaced) research paper on the subject. Use APA style to cite your sources.
NOTE: this assignment normally has a volunteer requirement. Under the current quarantine, this is not possible. However, if you would like to include experiences you have had at work or as a volunteer in the past that relate to your topic, you may do so in a section of your paper.
