1) Describe the contemporary international image, negative and/or positive, of South Asia. How does this image impact the potential of the region as a tourist destination?
2) Describe a type of tourism or tourist activity that stands out, either because it is very famous or unique, in the following countries: Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan. Provide a basic description of the type of tourism, how it is unique, and how it helps promote each country as a destination.
3) Select two countries in Southeast Asia and describe how they might use their cultural and natural resources to improve their global image and attractiveness.
