Hi, Write an essay in which you argue for or against the power of satire (historically and in our modern culture). Use the readings (I upload to you) to support your argument. Use a small amount of research to support your argument.
1. While this essay does utilize literary analysis, it is not the main focus. Your argument should be making a claim regarding whether satire is important or not (and for what reason)
2. This is a formal essay, so there should be no I statements
3.You should be looking at the larger picture of satire through time.
In order to do this, you will need to do some research into the use of satire.
This research will mainly consist of secondary sources (sources analyzing satirical pieces) as well as sources that focus on defining satire and its importance.
