Marks will be deducted if you do not provide a title page, a References page, use 12pt Times New Roman font, double-spacing, and standard margins. Marks will deducted if your paper is too short; 4-5 pages of discussion means a minimum of 4 full pages of discussion. Marks will be deducted if you fail to cite the sources of your statements of fact, statistics, quotations, etc.
Misc. Points
all statements of fact made in your essays must be drawn from the permitted sources only; in this case, Volti and Samson
statements of fact not drawn from a permitted source score no points and waste valuable space
when drawing a statement of fact from a source, you must cite the page number(s)
use direct quotations VERY sparingly, and if you do, use VERY brief ones (1 sentence only); an over-reliance on quotations will reduce your papers grade
these are very short essays so you should avoid lengthy introductions and/or conclusions
References pages should only list the specific titles identified in the assignment description
