Case Analysis Week 1:
Read the Chapter from The fifth discipline fieldbook entitled “The Language of Systems Thinking” (located in Course Resources) and Chapters 1-9 of The Lucifer Effect. Zimbardo, the author of your textbook The Lucifer Effect, describes the Stanford Prison Experiment as an example of the operation of three forces:
The inner nature of the person (e.g., dispositions, character, and personality)
The situation
The higher-order system effects.
Find examples of each of these in Chapters 1-9 and write a 2-3 page discussion of how your examples illustrate these forces. Locate and discuss at least two peer-reviewed articles related to the Stanford Prison Experiment or the three forces.
