Essay #1: Audience and Purpose. 800-1,000 words, APA, double-spaced with title page. The word count and specific public audience must be listed on the Author Note section of the title page. Students will choose an appropriate topic of their choice.
Prompt: Write well-organized essay that is directed toward a specific public audience and has the purpose of provoking thought (see audience purpose slides; also, RFW 1a). This essay must have one thought-provoking image embedded in the text that is captioned.
