The first part should report on what GM did wrong in managing and communicating the crisis with the original model in 1960.
The second part of the assignment should be your recommendations for how GM should proactively address potential safety concerns that will likely surface when the company introduces a brand new Chevrolet Corvair in 2021. How should the company convince a skeptical public that this car has none of the safety issues that plagued the original, and that it is safe, affordable and fun car to drive. Keep in mind the target audience for this new model is young, first time buyers, primarily women in their 20s, and older consumers (50-75) who either owned the original model or remember the car fondly from their childhoods.
