We are in the midst of a pandemic, businesses are opening and closing around us (Poughkeepsie,NY). Revenue is down for businesses and unemployment is higher than pre pandemic. Profits have been dropping as each month goes by. Employees have been subject to layoffs and furloughs. essential employees have been on the front lines working since the beginning. Using your own research, as well as HR Information you have learned, answer the following questions in an initial post (minimum 300 words not including the words in the questions or source citations):
What are your thoughts on hazard pay for essential front lines workers during the pandemic?
What are your thoughts regarding a reduction in pay across the board to save employees from being laid off or furloughed.
What guidance would you give to executives and administration in corporations as far as salary reductions for themselves, give examples. Support your answer.
