that’s a checklist that the paper must have.
Does your paper directly answer the question in the prompt?
Is your answer to the question in the prompt located in its proper place, ie, at the very end of the opening paragraph?
Is your thesis sentence (your answer to the prompt) the focus of your body paragraphs?
Have you quoted or paraphrased from This is Water and Seeing at least once each?
Have you quoted or paraphrased from a third source at least once?
Do your quotations each have a parenthetical (in text) citation?
Does each quotation directly relate to your thesis statement?
Do you have sufficient examples and details to support the point of view you gave in your thesis statement?
Does your paper have an MLA Works Cited Page?
Have you proofread your paper for spelling and grammar errors?
