White papers have become a common genre used in the health professions. Similar
to journal articles in their use of research and peer-reviewed sources, the focus is slightly
different, as advocacy for a particular policy or treatment is the main goal of the paper. White
papers often include graphs, charts, and other visual components as a way of engaging readers
and delivering information more efficiently
