Prior to beginning work on this discussion read Chapters 3 and 4 in your textbook.
Choose one of the following external threats to law enforcement and corrections. (If your choice does not work equally well for both law enforcement and corrections, you may choose one for each.)

- Societal cultural factors
- Supreme Court Decisions (common law)
- Technology
- Unions
Research your chosen topic(s) using a minimum of three professional resources. (Access the for assistance with finding appropriate resources.) Provide a brief description of each professional resource including a rationale as to why it is appropriate for the chosen topic(s). Based on your research create a summary of your topic(s). Within the summary, explain how the external threat impacts the organizational behavior in law enforcement and corrections. Describe how law enforcement and corrections might combat those external threats. Support your statements with evidence from your professional sources.
Guided Response: Review several of your colleagues posts and respond to at least two of your peers by 11:59 p.m. on Day 7 of the week. You are encouraged to post your required replies earlier in the week to promote more meaningful and interactive discourse in this assignment forum.
Recommend a possible solution to assist with your classmates chosen external threat(s). Additionally, recommend another professional resource, not already posted in the classmates initial post, that would further aid your peer to justify their answers. Explain how the resource might further add to a solution.
Continue to monitor the board until 5:00 p.m. MST on Day 7 of this week and respond to anyone who replies to your initial post.
