Family literacy emphasizes reading and writing in the home. It is important for parents to promote literacy in the home, but they do not always know what resources they can use with their children. The purpose of this assignment is to increase your knowledge of community resources, online resources, and quality media you could provide to parents in order to promote the literacy development of children in the home.
To prepare for this,
Review the Literacy Resources Assignment Template that you will use to complete this assignment.
Identify two quality media resources, two community resources, and six online resources that you could provide to parentsto promote their childs literacy development in the home. (Be mindful that free resources are the most helpful for families.)
In your paper,
Describe each resource (two media, two community, and six online) you located in the preparation section.
Explain how parents can use each resource to promote a childs literacy development.
