In this analytical essay, you will compare and contrast the melodrama genre/mode within two-three films united either by auteurism, story, period, or national cinema (choose only one of these other categories). You will choose two-three melodrama films to focus on (you must find these films on your own)

You will compare and contrast those two-three films in order to answer your research question, which should address the intersection of the two methods of classification in the three films. If melodrama and the other classification method is not in your research question, youre on the wrong track. Choose one of the following options.
