The Joint Commission often provides unannounced visits to various healthcare organizations and this includes on-site surveys this allows them to assess standards of care and patient care performance. It is imperative that hospital staff is properly prepared for these visits and are familiar with answering common questions. Since this is a common practice performed by the organization what would you include in developing a mock survey for your staff in an effort to prepare for a future site visit?
