Tape Based Effects
Use the Internet to find a song that uses on the tape based effects we’ve learned about in class.
-Delay-Flanging-Double Tracking-Automatic Double Tracking-Backwards Playback-Speed Manipulation
Literally you can just google songs that use flanging for example. Find that song on Youtube and see if you can pick out the effect. Write down a time where the effect is very audible (if the effect is very audible throughout the whole song don’t worry about doing that).
Post up a link on the discussion board to the song you found and say what effect it uses and at what time (if applicable).
What did you think of the use of the effect in the song? Did it add to the song (meaning did it make it more or less awesome)?
Everyone must listen to one other song picked by another student (just copy and paste the link) and say if they could hear the effect.
