In the midst of a pandemic, much attention and unprecedented resources have been devoted to vaccines and therapeutics. What is the role of a global intellectual property regime in this work? Does a strictly enforced and harmonized global intellectual property regime HELP or HINDER in the research, development and distribution of new biomedical technologies in the world?
