Suppose scientists had proven that all of our thoughts and actions are completely determined by strictly physical causes – purely atoms in motion, and that the notion that humans have free will is totally illusory. Would life still be truly meaningful under these conditions? Would the meaning humans seem to give to their lives be totally illusory? Provide an explanation for your answers.
