2. Identify three sources of public information (health messages) related to the selected indicator. Sources can include health messages from social marketing campaigns, newspapers, journals, websites, TV or radio shows, advertisements, commercials, infomercials, etc.
3. Develop a 6 slide voice over PowerPoint discussing the following:
Slide 1 – Title slide
Slide 2 – the health indicator, the population(s) affected, and the health consequences.
Slides 3-5 – Use 1 slide for each source of public information and present:
The source of the health message.
What health message is the source trying to convey? Was the message clear?
Was the information presented valid (was the data/information presented accurately)?
Personally, did you find it useful?
As a member of the affected population, would you find it useful?
How could the health message be revised to be more clear or more accurate?
