1. Your first task is to reflect on what you have learned from writing your Topic Proposal
Reflecting on ourselves, not only as students, but as writers, and future professionals is an essential part of the growth in all areas. The idea with reflection is that it is personal and unique to you. Each person has a different experience in life in general, as well as in school. This makes how we perceive things and learn things highly individual. If we can take a moment to write, without worrying about being judged, but just write what our thoughts are, we can use this information to see how far we have come, the things we have learned, and also areas that we would like to see more personal improvement in. When we do this, we can then apply it to things in our future and see that growth continue.
This is a guided reflective journal which simply means I will give you a series of questions as food for thought. Feel free to make your answers individualized, but do answer the questions required to have the potential for full credit. You must also meet the assigned word count listed below for the potential for full credit.
Directions:
You should briefly mention your topic first (this is the topic from your topic proposal). Next, you should select at least four of the following reflective questions to answer regarding your experience in the first Module and with the Topic Proposal.
1. Has something I learned made me think about the future in a different way?
2. Have I changed because of something I have learned or experienced? How? Is it good or bad?
3. In what way was this a turning point for me?
4. How can I use something I have learned to help someone else?
5. How can I apply what I have learned to my life or career?
6. What skills did I learn through this?
Next, you should select at least two of the following reflective questions to answer regarding your experience in the first Module and with the Topic Proposal.
1. What could I have done differently?
2. What questions did this make me ask?
3. How has this changed the way I think?

Expected Format – MLA = Times New Roman Font, 12pt. Standard information in the upper left corner (your name, instructors name, class, and date), plus a header with your last name and page number on the right side. Please double-space as well.
Word Requirement: 350 words minimum
