Write about a critical selection of a piece of work that reflects the themes and ideas that are relevant to the contexts and ideas discussed about the Dutch India Company and the arts: Still-life painting due to Protestant church being iconoclastic, symbolism of items in paintings, the emergence of Genre Painting, exotic fruits (citrus) and flowers (tulips, etc) seen in paintings because they prove wealth, and imports of Chinese porcelain, etc. The work chosen must illustrate a major artistic, cultural, and/or political development and its impact on the arts.
