Topic One: The Mt. Hood Accident.
Laurence Gonzales devotes two chapters to his treatment of the Mt. Hood climbersChapters 6 and 7which raises the questions: What is gained by using two chapters to cover this material? What is presented in each chapter separately? How do the two chapters work together to best inform us of the particular accident on Mt. Hood and of the principles at work behind that accident? Why is Gonzales using two chapters in this instance? That is, write an analytical essay that examines the way that Gonzales uses the Mt. Hood accident in these two chapters to inform his reader, paying close attention to the two-chapter approach he has chosen.
