adminDuring the early years of the Depression President Herbert Hoover was in the White House.
President Hoover was elected in 1929 and only a few months after taking office; he witnessed the stock market crash on October 24 1929. After this Hoover had the Depression to deal with which he attempted to handle with projects such as the Hoover Dam. However Americans were disappointed by the economy’s downward spiral and Hoover was soundly defeated by President Roosevelt in 1932.
